LLHS September History Talk Postponed

Due to unavoidable and unforeseen circumstances Franki Webb's talk scheduled for 24th September is being postponed to next year. Instead there will be an informal open gathering for members and visitors - all welcome.

Steve Grindlay

We are sad to report the death in June of Steve Grindlay, a long-standing member of the Society who played a key role in the development and cataloguing of our historical object archive, to the great benefit of the current team. Our Management Committee was represented at his well-attended funeral in July, and heard a eulogy that paid tribute to his dedication and love of history.

Parkside History

Community charity Lewisham Local are planning an event in November 2026 exploring the history of the Parkside estate (formerly Heathside and Lethbridge), and are looking for information, stories, photos and other resources to help with this.
