Consultation on Areas of Special Local Character
A public consultation has recently opened on Areas of Special Local Character (ASLCs) in the borough of Lewisham. This designation may be based on townscape, architecture, landscape and spatial qualities and may include artistic, social and cultural values. The Council are consulting on five ASLCs:
Lee Green, Loampit Hill, Silk Mills Path, Lewisham Town Centre and the Bellingham Estate.
The consultation runs for four weeks from 6 October, and documents are available at https://consultation.lewisham.gov.uk/planning/aslc2

The Action Group held a successful 'Community Day' on Saturday 4 October. They are now in discussion with Council officers about security and possible 'meanwhile' uses on the site and, if possible, tours of the building (though given the condition of the building this is likely to be some way off). They are trying to get clarification from the Council on the next steps and will communicate this once more is known.
